simple.

God keeps on reminding me of the same thing over. and over. and over again. Ready? Here it is:

Christianity is not that complicated.

I know, I know, it seems like I would be able to understand that, but it's really very hard to remember. I mean, there are 66 books in the Bible and there are a lot of commands in those 66 books for us to follow. Sometimes I get caught up in all of the things I need to be doing as a Christian.
 BUT...
Jesus was still able to sum up the entire gospel in one word: LOVE.
The apostle Paul said this in his letter to the Corinthians: "...I am afraid that, as the serpent tempted Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ."

It is a trick of the devil to make us anxious and stressed about doing Christianity "right". But our God is a God of peace. He is not interested in making us stressed. He just wants us to lean on Him and love people. And those 66 books are all instructions on how to love. So go show the world the love and peace of Jesus Christ.

hi there!

i've wanted a blog for a while and now i (obviously) have one! this is going to be a blog of many random things and i am quite thrilled to have a place to put some of my thoughts, musings, and experiences. the title of my blog is based off of this quote:

i want to be that girl. the girl who is not afraid to let the world know that she has been redeemed. she has no shame, only joy. i want everything i say and do to point others toward the man who has loved me enough to save my life: Jesus Christ.
